Answering Christ’s Call Through Compassionate Service

Footsteps Missions is devoted to serving forgotten and orphaned individuals worldwide, meeting their essential needs while nurturing faith and character to transform lives.

Tatiana Abigail & Greysi Daniela

“La Casa de Niñas,” our Girls’ Home, currently houses four girls that attend our gardens (or centers). Here is a little of the story of Tatiana Abigail and Greysi Daniela, who are two cousins. These girls live in a very rural area called “Portillo El Jarro” which is very remote and mountainous. Because of this, it is difficult to find transportation to local schools on a daily basis or would require walking 8 hours each day to get to school, so the girls live in our “Casa de Niñas.” Their parents are very hardworking, working in agriculture and farming but still poor.

Throughout the week, the girls stay at the girl’s home but return to their homes on the weekends. They begin their day at school, then walk to the gardens to eat lunch. There, they are able to complete their homework, spend time with their friends, and participate in educational and other activities with the other children. In the afternoon, they return home and take a short rest before completing some chores as part of their daily responsibilities. At the end of the day, Nery and Isela, our caretakers, share a devotional with the girls before heading to bed.

On the weekends, the girls reunite with their families! It is about an hour and a half drive, and some additional walking up a mountain. These girls are so intelligent and dedicated, it is such a joy to have them as part of our Footsteps Family and to see their amazing growth!

Changing the World One Step at a Time

Footsteps Missions is a nonprofit organization compelled to answer Christ’s call to holistically serve the forgotten, the orphaned and the unjustly-treated people of the world by meeting their real needs in the hopes of fostering people of character and children of God.

We accomplish this mission in two critical ways. Our ongoing ministries, including the Garden of Love and Hope Home in Honduras and our English Learning Camps, are youth-focused programs which Footsteps operates directly to connect, nurture, and grow Christ-centered relationships for children and their families.

Footsteps also mobilizes, trains, and equips volunteer short-term missionaries to serve all over the world. We work closely with churches, schools, and other Christian organizations to lend our short-term mission expertise and empower effective, impactful trips for our partners.

In these two ways, Footsteps has a powerful reach in connecting, caring for, and transforming the lives of children and missionaries all over the world. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
